Creating a Supportive Community Through Warrior Golf Academy
Warrior Golf Academy (WGA) is a faith-driven initiative dedicated to empowering veterans, first responders, and individuals in need through the game of golf. As three military veterans, Jonathan Sessa, Bill Poirier, and Ross McKendrick, we understand the challenges that come with transition, isolation, and finding renewed purpose. Our academy is built to restore, equip, and empower those who have served by providing career training, mentorship, and a community of faith and support.
Golf is more than just a game, it is a therapeutic tool that fosters healing, growth, and camaraderie. Many veterans face challenges such as PTSD, depression, and the struggle to reconnect with civilian life. Through personalized training in caddying, golf operations, and course maintenance, WGA creates pathways for professional opportunities while ensuring participants experience the peace and purpose that come from faith, fellowship, and renewed confidence.
At Warrior Golf Academy, we are committed to transforming lives, not just by developing golf skills, but by providing a strong foundation in faith, personal growth, and leadership. Every lesson, every swing, and every moment spent on the course is an opportunity to build something greater than ourselves.
We invite you to walk this journey with us. Whether you are a veteran seeking community, a golf professional wanting to get involved, or a supporter looking to make a difference, WGA is here to serve, uplift, and empower, one swing at a time.
